We are Christos and Hannah, a husband-and-wife team who are dual members of ANCATS, residing in the beautiful eastern suburbs of Sydney. Our love for the British Shorthair breed was ignited by our first beautiful blue girl, Mimi. Her teddy bear-like looks and personality inspired us to start breeding beautiful, true-to-type British Shorthairs that adhere to the breed standard.
While blue remains a popular colour among our lines, we also breed a stunning array of other colours. At Precious British Purrs, we are proud to be a boutique cattery, where quality, care and a more personalised approach are at the heart of everything we do. We offer fewer litters to ensure each kitten receives the utmost love, attention, and socialisation in a cosy, family home environment.

Our top priorities are the health, well-being, and temperament of our kittens. Every kitten is raised in our loving family home, where they are treated as cherished members of the household. This ensures they are well socialised, confident, and ready to thrive in their new environments.
We believe that a cat is never just a pet—they are lifelong companions and treasured family members. That’s why we raise each kitten with care, affection, and attention, giving them the best possible start in life. Every one of our kittens holds a special place in our hearts before they head off to their forever homes.
To protect the safety and well-being of our cats and kittens, we do not allow in-person visits.
Instead, we keep you connected through regular updates, sharing weekly photos and videos via WhatsApp and social media so you can watch your kitten grow and flourish.
British Shorthairs are a long-term commitment, often living 16 years or more. We encourage all potential owners to reflect carefully before bringing a kitten home and we’re here to guide you through the process—offering support from the moment you're matched with your kitten and well beyond.
